Our friends at WOTC made the Magic the Gathering ACTION pre-release event for the same day as FREE COMIC BOOK DAY.  As a result our pre-release event will start promptly at 4PM on Saturday, May 7.

The cost is $25 for early sign-ups, $30 if you wait until the day of the event.

Magic Pre-Release Early Sign-ups

Time is running out to take advantage of our early sign-up policy for our Magic The Gathering Pre-Release event. This event is scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at 4PM. People who sign-up early are guaranteed the FOIL PROMO card and they also save $5.

Huge Private Collection Sale

We will be having a back room like sale over the weekend of June 4 and June 5.  Items to include a ton of back issues and toys.  These items have never been in our back room sales before, this is from a private collection that was just acquired.

There will be a large collection of Star Wars 12 inch figures and other Star Wars collectibles, so if you know any Star Wars collectors please pass the word.  The sale will be going on all day Saturday June 4 and Sunday June 5.

Comics will be sold by the pound and will feature primarily Marvel and DC comics.

I restocked the Robin back issues (including #1) and the Collector Sets this weekend.

The Tradition Continues...

Brett is away so the inmates are running the asylum.  As we always do Brian and Scott made some drastic store layout changes while Brett has been on vacation.  We are only about 1/3 of the way done but the store layout has really changed, thanks to some awesome racks we just got from a local business (well ex-business).

Thanks to all the gamers that helped us bring the racks into the store on Sunday, and thanks to Dave for his help late Monday night.  It looks like we can get most of our planned changes done before Brett comes back Wednesday.  I bet he'll be surprised :)

Anyway, stop in and check out the new fixtures and tell us what you think.

Our friends at WOTC made the Magic the Gathering ACTION pre-release event for the same day as FREE COMIC BOOK DAY.  As a result our pre-release event will start promptly at 4PM on Saturday, May 7.

The Launch Party will be the next week, Saturday, May 14.  Back to our regular start time of 10:30AM SHARP !

Sign-ups for both events will be available later today.  Remember we have space for about 40 players, our last pre-release event SOLD OUT and we were forced to turn some players away (which we hate to do).

GO WILD! Charity Tournament To Benifit The York County SPCA Saturday 4/16 11:00 Registration / 12:00 Start You may not be in a position to adopt a new pet, but we can still all help. This tournament is similar to foodmachine or the breast cancer brawl. You will once again have the chance to cheat for charity. See the store for rules and a list of needed donations. New this year is the ability for your warlock/warcaster to "adopt" a warbeast from another faction. (Details in store) You must have the model to field it though! So buy, beg, steel, or borrow.

As we do every year, Comic Store West will host FREE COMIC BOOK DAY on Saturday, May 7.  We open on Saturday at 10am.  Come meet and get your picture taken with Thor, Green Lantern, and members of Darth Vader's 501st Garrision Cardia from 11AM - 3PM.

As always customers are entitled to ONE (1) FREE Comic Book (with hundreds to choose from).  If someone wants additional FCBD items we ask for a small donation to the Martin Memorial Library.

We will also have on hand a GREEN LANTERN HEROCLIX figure, exclusive to FREE COMIC BOOK DAY.

** Please bring a new Star Wars toy to donate to the local children's hospitals.  Each toy donatation earns you 3 additional FCBD items.

New Green Lantern Footage from Wonder-Con

This footage looks better than the last I've seen, I still think it's not going to be as good as Captain America but better than Thor.  We shall see.
